Hello, readers and fellow book lovers!
I'm beyond thrilled to introduce you to our newest creation at Meg's Comfort Creations -- the Reading Journal! You may, if you've stuck around with me long enough, remember that I actually released a reading journal last year. However, printing issues and poor design choices on my part led me to abandon that creation to the "eternally on-sale" section of my shop.
Alas! I am no longer discouraged, and have crafted this journal with a newfound eagerness to provide my fellow bookworms an ultimate reading companion. I've designed this journal specifically for those who find joy, inspiration, and adventure in the pages of a book. Whether you're an avid reader or just starting to explore the literary world, this journal will be perfect for you.
With two softcover designs to choose from (for now), you can choose whichever best matches your taste. If I have the support to do so going into the holiday season this year, my goal is to provide a hardcover option with thicker pages for my illustration and marker-loving friends!
Here’s a sneak peek into what makes this reading journal truly special:
At the front of the journal, you'll find an illustrated Bookshelf where you can write the names of the books you've read on blank spines. Additionally, there are extra pages of blank shelves which you can personalize with decorations, additional books, and more. This allows you to visually track your reading progress in a fun and creative way!
Setting and tracking your reading goals has never been easier. With dedicated pages for Goals and Statistics, you can map out your literary ambitions and celebrate your achievements throughout the year.
There's also a comprehensive Book Tracker that lets you list up to 100 books you've read, complete with ratings, providing a clear overview of your reading journey.
For those who like to stay ahead of upcoming releases, the Release Radar will be your best friend. Here, you can note down publication dates for the books you're anticipating.
The Book Review section offers ample space to write full reviews and all the information you’d like about each finished book. For those rare reads you couldn’t quite finish, there’s a place dedicated to did-not-finish books where you can explain what didn’t work for you. If you’re a series lover, you’ll appreciate the Series Review section, which allows you to write about and rate any book series as a whole.
The Monthly Recaps section is perfect for recording your reading statistics, such as total books read, hours listened, pages read, and more. Highlight your favorite quote, top three reads of the month, and keep a daily reading tracker all in one place.
To keep the fun going, I've included over 15 engaging activities, such as “Reading through the Decades,” Genre Tetris, a Book Scavenger Hunt to help find your next read, and even Book Awards for the titles that truly stood out--among many MANY other incredibly fun activities!
This journal is more than just a place to record your reading habits. It’s designed to be a keepsake that you can look back on and cherish, a tangible reflection of all the incredible stories you’ve experienced.
I hope you find as much joy in using this reading journal as I did in creating it. Happy reading and happy journaling!
Your fellow bookworm,
Meg
